Welcome to AFP, Montgomery County Md

AFP in Montgomery County MD is organized entirely by volunteers who have come to recognize that the solution to challenges facing our country start at home.

The appeal for us stems from our common belief in promoting non-partisan principals; we support issues - not individuals - that promote prosperity. By divorcing our interests from those of the two-party system, we are free to support those individuals that are committed to promoting actions that are "most likely to affect (our) safety and happiness" as opposed to the self-interests of the parties themselves.

Poll Shows Marylanders Oppose Raising the Gasoline Tax

As reported in the AFP Maryland, website a Gonzales poll showed that 77% of Marylanders oppose raising the gasoline tax by 10 cents.

A day later the Washington Examiner reported that the Blue Ribbon Commission on Transportation funding suggested raising the gasoline tax by 5 cents over the next three years.

Elected officials are calling for the massive tax increase because they have stolen almost a billion dollars out of the Transportation Trust Fund to temporarily prop up the General Fund.
